NEOPLE has rolled out the first major update for The First Berserker: Khazan, bringing enhancements that target balance, user interface adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. Players can expect significant changes in consumables management, NPC interactions, and various bug fixes that aim to refine the overall gameplay experience.
This update came on April 4th and notably improves how consumables are recharged. After using all available consumables, your inventory will automatically refill with stored items upon dying or reaching checkpoints. Significantly, this adjustment does not affect boss encounters; players shouldn’t worry about a more straightforward game as they navigate challenges.
Another noteworthy addition is the visibility of Soulstones; these will now be displayed prominently in yellow on the main menu once players have enough for a Soulstone Unleash. An alert will notify users when this ability becomes available while interacting with Daphrona. Furthermore, you can now reset your Soulstone Unleash if needed.
The developers didn’t overlook NPCs either; they’ve made conversation options more reliable by fixing issues where selections would reset during exchanges. In addition to this fix, some NPC dialogues have been expanded to offer varied lines depending on your playthrough choices.
Bugs were not left unaddressed either—issues like rotating lasers not appearing intermittently and problematic spaces blocking movement in missions have been fixed. However, it’s worth noting that there aren’t any major performance tweaks regarding traversal stutters, which may leave some players wanting more from an optimization perspective. On the upside, many PC systems can still comfortably run the game at high framerates.
