Escape From Tarkov Adjusts ‘Streets of Tarkov’ Player Count for Improved Performance

Escape From Tarkov, the intense first-person shooter known for its realism and challenging gameplay, has changed the player count on its “Streets of Tarkov” map. This decision was presumably made in a submission to enhance in-game performance.

Battlestate Games, the developers behind Escape From Tarkov, have tweaked the PMC player count on the famous Streets of Tarkov map. Previously accommodating between 15 and 20 players, the map will now host between 12 and 16 PMCs per raid.

This modification suggests an intention to alleviate some of the performance issues players might have been facing. As Escape From Tarkov continues to evolve and introduce new features, gameplay must remain smooth and free of lag or other disruptions.

It’s still early days for this change, and the community will undoubtedly be the best judge of its impact. The main question now is… have players noticed a difference in performance since the adjustment?

If you’ve played on Streets of Tarkov recently, please share your experiences. Has the game’s performance improved for you? Are the raids more balanced with fewer PMCs? We would love to hear your thoughts.
