With all eyes on the upcoming global reveal on August 17, the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has made a quiet but significant entrance on Steam. Modern Warfare 3’s official Steam page, and all you can do is add the game to your wishlist.
The page doesn’t offer a wealth of information just yet. However, there’s confirmation on the collaboration front. The Activision-owned studios aiding Sledgehammer Games in developing MW3 have been listed. It’s worth noting that the involvement of multiple studios in a single Call of Duty game isn’t a novel concept. PC specs remain in secret, and we’ll probably get them soon.
Studios listed on Steam
- Sledgehammer Games,
- Treyarch,
- Infinity Ward,
- Beenox,
- Raven Software,
- High Moon Studios,
- Demonware.
Treyarch, previously in charge of the Ranked Play mode for Modern Warfare 2, might take the helm again for MW3. This, of course, is mere speculation at this juncture. Given the game’s interconnection with Warzone, Infinity Ward and Raven’s roles are unsurprising.
Yet, there’s much more left unsaid. Awaiting eager fans are no screenshots, no insights into the gameplay, and no PC requirements. The release date remains cryptically as “coming soon,” though Activision has already earmarked November 10 for the game’s launch.
Nevertheless, the page is a teaser for what’s to come. As the saying goes, sometimes less is more, and in this case, the suspense is palpable. As and when more details about Modern Warfare 3 emerge, fans will undoubtedly be on the edge of their seats.
In the meantime, Call of Duty fanatics should mark their calendars: the worldwide reveal of Modern Warfare III is set to start on August 17, taking center stage in Call of Duty: Warzone’s event. Don’t miss it!
