Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the popular kart-racing game from Nintendo, is revving up for another expansion with the recent reveal of details about its forthcoming Booster Course Pass Wave 5. This new DLC, announced in the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, is set to debut this summer on the Nintendo Switch platform.
The Booster Course Pass Wave 5 will introduce a new course to the game, Squeaky Clean Sprint. In addition to the new track, three classic characters will return to the racing line-up. Fans will be thrilled to see the return of Petey Piranha, first seen in Mario Kart: Double Dash, Wiggler from Mario Kart 7, and Kamek from Mario Kart Tour. Each character is expected to bring unique attributes and skills to the race, contributing to the already dynamic and varied gameplay experience that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe offers.
Priced at $24.99, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass promises to enhance the racing experience with 48 additional DLC tracks spread over six waves. All content will be released by the end of 2023, ensuring fans have a steady stream of new tracks and features to look forward to.
As an added perk, players who have subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online’s Expansion Pack will gain access to the DLC as part of their current subscription, providing excellent value and ensuring the new content is easily accessible to an extensive player base.
