Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Patch Enhances Performance and Unveils Veteran Pack

The latest Battlefield 2042 Season 5 patch offers more than the typical gameplay improvements and content enhancements. Developer DICE confirmed that this recent update also boosts performance for PC players by upgrading the DLSS.dll version from 2.2 to 2.5.

DLSS, or Deep Learning Super Sampling, is a graphics technology powered by artificial intelligence. This upgrade to DLSS 2.5 implies that Battlefield 2042 players can expect sharper graphics and a smoother gaming experience. This announcement was made through Battlefield Communications‘ official Twitter account, where DICE also hinted at the possibility of future DLSS version updates, promising even better performance.

Apart from this technical upgrade, DICE has also revealed a free reward that players can unlock by completing specific assignments. The prize, named the Veteran Pack, can be earned by:

  • Playing 10 Rounds.
  • Scoring 5 kills with the ACW-R, P90, or M240B as the character Irish on the ‘Reclaimed’ map.

Interestingly, if you are a Battlefield veteran, the Veteran Pack will be unlocked instantly as a nod to your loyalty to the franchise.

Looking ahead, DICE also announced that fans can expect the launch of Season 6 for Battlefield 2042. More information about the forthcoming season will be revealed as Season 5 progresses. With the developer’s continuous efforts to enhance the game, including DLSS upgrades and engaging rewards, it seems Battlefield 2042 players have plenty to look forward to.
