Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo 4 players can skip the game’s campaign after completing it with a single character. This decision allows players to access endgame content without repeating the story mode for additional characters. Some fans were concerned about the absence of the story-skipping Adventure Mode, present in Diablo 3, which raised questions about whether every new character would have to replay the main story.
In a presentation attended by Push Square, Blizzard developers confirmed that once players complete the campaign with their first character, they can skip it for any additional characters. This will allow them to dive directly into the open world and endgame content without having to replay the campaign for each new class.
Although details about level scaling and difficulty settings for this approach remain unclear, this news is a relief for players who wish to experiment with different classes without needing to go through the entire story again.
Despite this new feature, players will still need to level up new characters from scratch in each new season. The process of maxing out the Battle Pass is estimated to take about 80 hours, which is roughly the same amount of time required to reach the max level with a single character.
Diablo 4 is set to launch on June 6 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
