Arkane Studios‘ upcoming open-world shooter, Redfall, has generated significant excitement with its recent trailers and gameplay videos. However, the latest announcement from the developers may disappoint some fans, as the game will not include a 60 FPS mode at launch.
The game will initially only have a Quality Mode for Xbox Series X/S players. On the Xbox Series X, Redfall will run at 4K and 30 FPS, while on the Xbox Series S, it will run at 1440p and 30 FPS. The absence of a 60 FPS option will likely garner criticism from the gaming community, who generally prefer smoother gameplay experiences.
Arkane Studios has assured fans that a 60 FPS Performance Mode will be introduced in a post-launch update “at a later date,” but the exact timeline remains unclear. Additionally, the developer is considering removing the game’s always-online requirement for solo play after its release, a move that has been well-received by gamers.

Redfall is set to launch on May 2 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game’s initial offering may not be everything players hoped for, but the promise of future updates could help assuage concerns. With Arkane’s history of producing quality titles, the whole team behind Future Game Releases is confident that the game will reach desirable fashion sooner than later.
