Resident Evil 4 Remake has only been out for a couple of weeks, but fans are already hungry for more content. According to a known Capcom insider, AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, there may be some good news for those fans. The insider recently claimed that a Separate Ways DLC featuring Ada Wong is in the works for the game, and could potentially be released later this year.
Separate Ways, a mini-campaign that originally appeared in the original Resident Evil 4, has been mentioned in the game files by dataminers, which lends further credibility to Dusk Golem’s claim. Unlike the Winters’ Expansion DLC for Resident Evil Village, which only entered development after the base game’s release, Separate Ways has been in development concurrently with the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, explained the situation on Twitter, stating that the Separate Ways DLC has had a smaller team working on it during the game’s development. The team is expected to expand now that the main game has been released. The insider suggests that the DLC should be out later this year unless there are any unforeseen development hurdles.
(2/2) was already out. Separate Ways was plotted to give main attention to the main game during dev, with a smaller team working on Separate Ways during its course, to then bump up the SW team after work was done.
Unless some unforeseen development hurdles, should be this year.
