Panache Digital Games has announced that their survival game, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, has achieved an impressive new sales milestone, surpassing 1.5 million units sold worldwide. The game previously reached the one million units milestone in May 2021. The game’s success had allowed the development team to grow from just seven members when the project began to 50, with more additions expected.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is directed by Patrice Désilets, known for his work on the popular Assassin’s Creed series, including the first game, its sequel, and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Set in prehistoric times, players take control of an ape in a Hominid clan. They must navigate the challenges of survival, evolution, and resource management while warding off predators and adapting to the harsh environment.
