Minecraft players, get ready for an exciting new update. Mojang has announced the highly-anticipated Minecraft 1.20 update, which will be called “The Trails & Tales.” The update will focus on self-expression, creativity, and intrinsic motivation while making Minecraft Minecraftier than ever before.
The Trails & Tales Update was first announced during Minecraft Live 2022, and it will be coming to a Minecraft near you later this year. The name represents the unique stories that each player brings back from their Minecraft journey, whether it’s literal, like riding towards the horizon on a camel with a friend, or more metaphorical, like learning how to evade hostile mobs or working out an intelligent mining system. At the end of the journey, players will have their own stories to share with the world.
The Trails & Tales Update will introduce various new features to the game, including a new cherry blossom biome, new mobs like camels and axolotls, new blocks like powder snow and rooted dirt, and new gameplay mechanics like archeology and sign hanging. Players can already try out the new features in Bedrock betas and previews, as well as Java Snapshots.
Mojang encourages players to provide feedback on the new features and report bugs to bugs.mojang.com. The feedback collected will be used to iterate and tweak each element before its official release.
The Minecraft 1.20 update “The Trails & Tales” is expected to arrive on all platforms later this year, bringing new adventures and stories for players to discover and share. Keep an eye out for more updates from Mojang, and don’t hesitate to try out the new features and provide feedback to help make the update even better.
