Battlestate Games has deployed an update for Escape From Tarkov, seemingly to deal with a couple of annoying issues that have been bothering players recently. One of them is the Binaural sound, which according to many, it seems to have an impact on the game’s performance.
Furthermore, this update brings a new DLSS change, even though most players avoid this feature in the game. Long story short, this DLSS change should be related to performance improvement. The patch notes, as published by Battlestate Games, reflect the following:
Escape From Tarkov January 19 update
- Fixing issues that occur with binaural sound on
- Adjustments to sound positioning, footstep noise, and incorrect headset settings
- Tweaking additional aspects of Oculus Audio on all locations
- Fixing issues when using the gym for some players
- Fixing a number of bugs in the stash, Hideout, and UI in general
- Geometry and lighting fixes for Streets of Tarkov
- New player group system
- DLSS update
- Fixing issues when interacting with certain weapons
- Several other changes and fixes
