After Battlestate Games announced an upcoming technical update, the fans of the shooter have been questioning if there would be a wipe. Well, considering that we’re this deep in the pre-wipe event and the latest event has scuffed the economy quite heavily, tomorrow’s update could reset all the progress and allow players to start anew.
On Friday, December 23, 2022, Battlestate Games brought it on Twitter, saying that on December 24, there will be a technical update with a maintenance window of around an hour. On the contrary, fans believe there will be a wipe as it is about time to happen. It is Saturday, the day before Christmas, so such activity would allow players to delve in on day one before the festivities begin.
A couple of wipes ago, Escape From Tarkov wiped the database on December 24, which is why we believe tomorrow’s update could be related to the wipe. It wouldn’t be the first time to see Battlestate Games working over the weekend, as the developer is quite agile, and hard work is their honest quality. Anyhow, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow and see if there is a wipe coming.
Tomorrow, December 24, at 7AM GMT/2AM EST we plan to conduct technical update. The update will take approximately 1 hour, but may be extended if required. The game will not be accessible during this period#EscapefromTarkov
