EA and Marvel have announced a collaboration deemed to give birth to three new Marvel games. The first one is Iron Man, which will feature an original narrative that drags players across the character’s history, and shuffles through the beauty and charisma of Tony Stark. The other two games are yet to be announced, but they will be developed for both Console and PC.
This has been confirmed today via a press release by EA. Each of these games will contain an original story set in the Marvel universe, with the first title in development being a single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man game coming out of Motive Studios.
Previously announced by EA, details regarding the Iron Man game have remained unknown. Even with this press release, we have somewhat only received a confirmation of its development. It’s the same genre and perspective that is in play, a single-player, third-person action-adventure game.
Developed in collaboration with Marvel, the Iron Man game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of the character, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man. The team is being led by Olivier Proulx, who brings experience working on past Marvel titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and is joined by a dedicated team of passionate industry veterans including Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier at the studio.
