If you think Escape From Tarkov is dead, then you’re mistaken

Update: I’ve been in touch with the Head of PR at BSG. He has confirmed that the developer is working on the game, and there’s nothing to worry about. This debunks all of the recent rumors.

Battlestate Games are in a rough spot right now, with everyone criticizing them for being silent. I have to say; I haven’t heard from them either. But, their first-person shooter Escape From Tarkov is still playable, and its online services are still working, which proves that the developer is still around. Recently, they also made a couple of server-side tweaks, so yes, they are here.

The talks about EFT and BSG are likely misleading

You may have seen plenty of videos made by content creators that, without familiarity with the situation in Russia, lean into the subject stating the rights and wrongs just because they want to. The fact is, no one knows the situation in Russia. Whatever you’ve heard or been told, you shouldn’t believe it, especially about the condition over at BSG and why the company is silent.

False Promises, boo-hoo

Yes, we’ve been promised a lot of things, and they’re not here. So, what? There may be tens of thousands of hours left until we first see Lightkeeper, who knows? But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the developer is not working on the game or that the developers have left the company due to military draft or mobilization. Chaps, can we enjoy life and stop mentioning wars? I am honestly sick and tired of it. Whatever happens, happens. If you’re not impaired by it or have zero knowledge about the current situation, don’t add fuel to the fire.

Tarkov is still around

Stop predicting the future like Baba Vanga, and just let things float around while you enjoy playing Escape From Tarkov. If the game servers are running and you’re able to play the game online, then no, the game is not dead. I have played and followed BSG from 2016-17. Do you know how many times they’ve been silent? Hell, it feels like no one even knew they existed. So, please cut the nonsense and stop the spread of false information over the internet. It’s getting weird anytime I see or read something about it.
