I, V, do solemnly swear that I shall faithfully serve the New United States of America. This is the oath taken by V, before she steps into the new district of Night City. During today’s CD Projekt Red showcase, Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming expansion named Phantom Liberty was teased. The tease itself can be found at the top of this article, and mind me, if you want, but it looks quite gorgeous. The expansion is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.
Phantom Liberty details
In Phantom Liberty, obviously, you’ll be able to play as V alongside the notorious character of Keanu Reeves Johnny Silverhand, who is making a return to provide players with a walkthrough and guidance through the trenches. The game will be set in an all-new district of Night City. A spy-thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.
While it’s not a secret that Cyberpunk 2077 had some launch issues, we’ve all been witnesses to its recent advances. With multiple engine tweaks that seemingly fixed the game to a huge extent, we’re in here for a ride. CD Projekt Red’s confidence has slowly been regained, and we do believe that considering it’s an expansion, it won’t go through the same difficulties as in the kick-off.
Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners update
In other news, Cyberpunk 2077 is due to get the new Edgerunners update that will become available today. This update will add Roach Race mini-game, Martinez jacket, new Ripperdoc and photo mode additions, and quite important and entertaining, transmog capabilities.
1.6 update discussions
As for the long-promised 1.6 update, its deployment will seize the support for the old-gen consoles. It will be the last one supported by the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, which means the game will continue evolving solely on the PC, Xbox Series X|S, and the PS5.
