According to a recent article by Bloomberg, Grand Theft Auto 6 is preparing to surprise the fans with a relatively new female protagonist that will have heavy burdens on her chest. Yes, the new protagonist will reportedly be a woman, one of the game’s main characters. This is a somewhat different approach by Rockstar Games and something uncommon considering GTA’s predecessors.
As stated in the Bloomberg writing, the new female protagonist will be Latina. Similar to GTA 5, from what we can understand from the paper, this character will probably be playable only for particular but essential tasks. She will have a leading role and be a character in a story influenced by the bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde. With this, Rockstar Games hopes to make GTA 6 differ from its predecessor.
According to Bloomberg: Rockstar’s next game, Grand Theft Auto VI, will include a playable female protagonist for the first time, according to people familiar with the game.
Furthermore, Grand Theft Auto 6’s location is going to be Miami, a rather fictionalized and altered version of it. This world will most likely be updated as time goes by, with Rockstar Games adding more locations and even attaching new cities to it, even hosting in-game events for the players. GTA 6 is also planned to include plenty of indoor locations, unlike its predecessors, which definitely indicates an improved role-playing experience.
But why does it take this long for GTA 6 to be released? We know that GTA 6 is already in development, as Rockstar Games confirmed. However, the longevity of its development is already too much and cannot be easily justified. Evidently, Rockstar Games has had some troubles that had to unburden slowly. We won’t go into specifics, but with GTA 6, Rockstar Games is very cautious and doesn’t want to go through the same troubles as with GTA 5.
At last, Take-Two plans to see Grand Theft Auto IV entertaining its fans somewhere in 2023-2024.
