Bohemia Interactive is working on what’s supposed to be the gateway to Arma 4, Arma Reforger. A recent developer report by Bohemia highlighted a couple of features coming to the game, including cross-play. The beauty of the Enfusion engine comes through perfectly.
Despite the mega annoying bugs and issues currently vandalizing the game experience for everyone, Bohemia Interactive seems to have significantly progressed on the cross-play feature. Other complex and tedious queues are setting back its deployment, and it might take a while before we see this feature available in Arma Reforger.
“And finally, cross-play is coming! That’s right! PC and Xbox players can battle it out together in the near future. We are currently doing final internal tests and planning to enable it on official and community servers. This should allow Xbox players to finally enjoy modded multiplayer matches. We also hope that the PC scene will welcome Xbox players and the influx of players into one playing space. Keyboard and mouse support for Xbox is not ready for public release just yet.” – stated Bohemia.
However, the main focus remains on the lingering connection, network, and game crashing issues. The developer will continue working on them to exterminate the difficulties caused by mods, faulty network traffic, and other major issues. Overall, Arma Reforger has improved dramatically since its launch and will continue to do so as long as Bohemia gets the necessary feedback from mod creators, players, etc.
