Bungie Developer Insight Reveals Destiny 2’s Solar 3.0 Abilities

Bungie is happy to announce the Solar 3.0 rework coming to Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted. Together with it, there will be new flaming guardian abilities that players can toy with. To surprise the fans, Bungie released this brief insight video highlighting some of the class changes and abilities embodied within Solar 3.0. Operation: Caliente – Solar 3.0 has been designed to increase the spice level and arrives today.

In Solar 3.0, there are a lot more healing grenades for all classes to use! The sun has also changed in that it can both heal and hurt you at once, and it intends to scorch anyone within its rays. Solar 3.0 will introduce new types of damage mitigation, reduction, and other surprising core gameplay factors.

In Solar 3.0, each class has its specialty. Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks will all have fun playing throughout this era. Each one of the new abilities has been showcased in the most recent Solar 3.0 developer insight video that can be found at the top of this article. The healing and damaging properties of the sun are now split into two opposing forces, with each class having its abilities that reflect this new reality. For example, all warlocks can use “healing grenades” to restore health for themselves or allies while lighting enemies on fire!

Solar 3.0 New Class Abilities

  • Consecration allows Titans to cast a new ability that slams the ground, placing fire on the ground along the dash direction.
  • Incinerator Snap allows Warlocks to be able to throw a new melee attack that sends a wave of flames ahead of them, burning anyone in its path. If this is focused on one target, then the damage stiffens.
  • Gunpowder Gamble allows Hunters to throw a cluster of grenades while also being in the air. They explode and deal enormous damage to the surrounding area.
