On Tuesday, the developer of Escape From Tarkov, Battlestate Games, announced that another server maintenance is queued for tomorrow. The maintenance is supposed to improve the backend servers and strengthen their resilience under heavy load. This process will take approximately 24 hours and a whole day of work for the developer.
Escape From Tarkov has had a lot of server issues during this wipe. The heavy number of players has pushed the developers to invent a queue system to balance the servers and uphold playability. All of you who have struggled in the past period will hopefully get a chance to play whenever you want, without avoiding primetime.
The maintenance will start tomorrow, January 19, at 10 am MSK time, and it will take roughly around 24 hours before its completion. The game will not stop; however, it may have some weird spikes in gameplay experience and connection.
Furthermore, Battlestate Games said that tomorrow’s server maintenance would be essential for future performance and stabilization of the backend servers. The update should address the lingering queue times, presumably removing them completely.
“Tomorrow, January 19 at 10 am MSK, we are planning to perform the next stage of backend server maintenance. This process will take approx. 24 hours, but may be extended if required. The game will not stop, however, players might experience various issues until maintenance is over.
This maintenance is very important for further stabilization of the backend under high load without queues. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”
