EA Sends Out Playtest Invites for Unknown Game

Electronic Arts have started delivering new playtest invites for an unknown game. The playtest is supposed to go live between September 13 and September 20, and the game hasn’t been specified. While a technical playtest would instruct the participants to comply with EA’s non-disclosure agreement, this time, the company encourages participants to use a webcam and stream the game on Twitch.

This information has been disclosed by a credible Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson, which could inflict a connection to Battlefield 2042. While the game is unknown, we’re in a month where Battlefield 2042 beta is expected to land, and for that reason, high hopes endure.

Furthermore, Tom Henderson revealed that participants would be rewarded with 2 EA games of their choice. If I were to believe it’s some sort of testing for the Battlefield 2042 beta, then I’d be extremely skeptical of EA’s encouragement to stream it on Twitch. That would be unfair to all the players who have pre-ordered the game, even if, as recent alleges claim, Battlefield 2042 Beta starts on September 22.

Update: The invites could be related to Battlefield Mobile, which recently appeared on the Google Play Store.

This week has been a wild one when it comes to Battlefield. Beta events, dates, reveals, leaks, and whatnot. I feel like my head is about to explode.
