Square Enix, the notorious publisher of Marvel’s Avengers, has confirmed the arrival of a new expansion, Black Panther – War for Wakanda. The game’s set to release on August 17 and will be a free update to all the owners of the game itself. Aside from the Black Panther becoming a playable character, this update will also bring two new villains and a new zone open for exploration. Black Panther will become a playable character on PS, Xbox, PC, and Stadia.
It seems that Square Enix wants to keep the players put and add length to the already existing campaign. A new War Table stream will showcase more details about the changes, which will occur on August 16, on Crystal Dynamics’ official Twitch channel.
The expansion will be focused and revolved around King T’Challa, also known as the Black Panther. He later discovers that there are people who want to destroy Wakanda from the inside, which puts him in a difficult situation, not being able to entrust himself to anyone else, even his sister. His objective is immensely difficult as he tries to confront the ones that wish to perish Wakanda. The game’s story seems a lot more exciting than usual, hoping to immerse players deeply into it.
