The official Battlefield 6 reveal, or Battlefield, is scheduled for today, June 9th, 2021. While fans are eager to find out the tempo and look of the game, leakers have already started working. It turns out that Battlefield has been uploaded to Origin, EA’s digital distribution platform, allowing tech-savvy users to peek inside the code.
Well, a leaker has discovered on Reddit that the theme of the game is now known. Apparently, we’ll be taken to the year 2042. The game’s code name goes under Kingston, and the game’s description confirms a brawl between the USA and Russia. For more detailed info, check below:
Game Code name: KINGSTON
“Welcome to A World Transformed”
“U.S.A. and Russia stand at the brink of war. Proxy wars have waged for decades, generating experienced but displaced combat veterans. These Specialists use their skills to shape the future — a future worth fighting for.”
“Battlefield 2042 introduces 7 vast maps for up to 128* players. From Seoul’s cities to Egypt’s deserts, every map offers a unique experience based on the natural environment.”
“Customize weapons, gadgets, and vehicles in a battle to tip the scales in your favor. Summon a robotic dog built for battle, employ a grappling hook or don your very own wingsuit.”
“Choose your role on the battlefield and form hand-tailored squads through the new Specialist system. Based on Battlefield’s four Classes, Specialists have one unique Specialty and Trait – but the rest of the loadout is fully customizable.”
Last but not least, there will be three editions of Battlefield: Standard, Gold, and Ultimate. But wait, that’s only one of the leaks. The second one states crucial information regarding its release date.
Battlefield 6 Release Date
Apparently, Battlefield’s release date has also been leaked in a Reddit Thread. If that leak is turned out to be true, then the official release date is scheduled for October 15, 2021. Take these leaks with a pinch of salt, as always. We still have a couple of hours left until the official reveal, so don’t get too excited about its release date. Marketing-wise, a game releases around 3-6 months after its first reveal. So, October could indeed be the right month as it is under the 3-6 month time span. Until tonight, HYPE.
