We’re almost in June, and Sony has discovered the PS Plus freebies for the month of June. That means a new batch of games with perfectly balanced entertainment is about to air. While some might be disappointed, the month of June does not seem that bad, as it introduces Star Wars: Squadrons.
Thanks to the arrival of the new PS5 console, Sony has changed the way of releasing PS Plus games every month. The freebies are rather divided due to balancing between the subscribers on the old-gen and current-gen console to alleviate possible frustrations. Each month, Sony is releasing a flagship title on the PS5, while the significance of the PS4 ones is rather smaller or less costly.
Free PS Plus Games for June 2021
- Star Wars: Squadrons (PS4)
- Operation Tango (PS5)
- Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown (PS4\)
This time, the flagship game is Star Wars: Squadrons, EA’s space combat game set in the Star Wars universe developed by Motive Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on October 2, 2020, and for Xbox Series X/S on December 3, 2020. Star Wars Squadrons is probably one of the most exciting titles to play in multiplayer due to its surprising hypertensive combat. Even though its single-player title promises a lot, its multiplayer counterpart is far more powerful on the entertaining side.
The second title, as guessed in our June predictions, is Operation Tango. Operation Tango, an online co-op adventure set to release on June 1st. Similar to Oddworld: Soulstorm, the game is ready to hit the PS Plus service on launch.
The third title is Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, which has caught fans and forecasters by surprise. No one saw it coming. This is yet another title to arrive on the service on day one launch as a PS4 title—a fighter to shuffle the entertainment provided by the PS Plus freebies for June.
