Electronic Arts has announced the arrival EA Sports PGA Tour. According to today’s statement, EA Sports PGA Tour will launch in Spring 2022, which could align with the professional Masters Tournament. Just as any other title, it seems that EA’s upcoming development whirls around “next-gen” video games, as it has stated the same for this one.
EA Sports PGA Tour will feature an advanced PGA Championship feature, with players to choose from Kiawah Island or Southern Hills Country Club, which is the host for 2022. With the next Masters Tournament scheduled for April 4-10, 2022, EA might be targeting a release for a collision that would surprise the fans even further.
This is the only game that would detail all four majors, such as The Masters, the US Open, the PGA, and The Open Championship. It will also feature a possibility to play against some of the renowned faces, either as an already existing player or as a new.
Even though EA revealed the launch window, it hasn’t stated anything about the potential platforms to which the game is arriving. That leaves us to guess that if it’s a word about a “next-gen” game, then we would assume that PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at least are in the equation. This is the first game after the recent partnership renewal between EA and PGA and the first golf game since 2015’s Rory McIlroy PGA Tour for EA.
