As announced during the Season 2021 Opening Day, Riot Games’ upcoming mobile version of League of Legends will release in March in North America. This mobile MOBA will have almost all of the stuff that the current League of Legends already has, including ranked seasons.
However, this isn’t a direct port to iOS and Android. Riot Games have completely redone their game to be suitable for mobile devices, featuring a smaller Champion selection, shorter games, and fast-paced gameplay. Every month, two new champions will be added. These champions will probably be very similar to their PC counterparts, with a few tweaks here and there.
League of Legends: Wild Rift has also been announced for consoles, but there’s no official release window confirmed yet. As Wild Rift will make its way to consoles sometime in the future, it’ll be pretty interesting to see how it will fare against other MOBAs on a console, especially SMITE.
