Sucker Punch’s PS4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima has been one of the biggest hits this year. According to many fans, it’s regarded as the best game to release this year. Featuring a beautiful Japanese open-world, a well-written story, amazing combat, and other factors, there’s no denying that Jin Sakai’s pursuit against the Mongols has been extremely loved and successful.
Famitsu conducted its annual survey among Japanese developers and celebrities, and 132 people voted for their favorite game of the year. A lot of them included game developers and other pop culture icons like voice actors.
What’s really great is that Sucker Punch is an American studio that has really satisfied its Japanese fans through this masterpiece. It seems like they did their research and made the game as culturally accurate as they can. Ghost of Tsushima was followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizon, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
