Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is an upcoming turn-based RPG developed by Airship Syndicate and published by Riot Games. The game was revealed about a month ago in an announcement trailer published by Riot Games, and it was confirmed that the game would come out during the early 2021 release window.
However, Riot Forge wrote on Twitter that the game is delayed to “somewhere” in 2021, meaning that it can come out during any following year’s release window. The main reason for the delay is the COVID-19 global pandemic, which has made other developers delay their games.

In this turn-based RPG, you’ll play as 6 different champions from Riot’s League of Legends: Yasuo, Ahri, Braum, Illaoi, Pyke, and Miss Fortune. There are speculations that these characters will each have their own role, similar to League of Legends. We could expect Illaoi or Braum to take on the party’s tank’s role, whereas the other four would be the DPS. We’ll also get a brand new antagonist – the Ruined King, who already has an item named after him in League of Legends (Blade of the Ruined King).
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch along with Xbox Series X/S and PS5. There will be free next-gen upgrades for the Xbox One and PS4 users.
