Two Senior Heads have Resigned from BioWare, No Anthem Reboot?

Electronic Arts has announced that two critical faces in BioWare’s rows have resigned today. Both of them are known for multiple exciting projects and of immense importance for two existing franchises. Those two people are Casey Hudson, general manager, and Mark Darrah, the executive producer of Dragon Age.

The cause for departure is unknown. In an official blog spot, EA stated the following:

We strive for all of our studios to be places where talented creative people come to do career-defining work. A dimension of this ambition is that sometimes those people want to try something different. Casey Hudson, GM, BioWare, and Mark Darrah, Executive Producer, Dragon Age are two of those people and they have decided to move on from BioWare. I want to personally thank Casey and Mark for everything they have done for the BioWare community, and particularly for our players. They will always be an essential part of the studio’s history, we appreciate their many contributions, and we look forward to seeing what they’ll each do next.

With an already built fame, it is sad to see these two leaving the studio. But, as the cause for these departures remains unknown, so is the future of the development studio. Multiple projects that have been acclaimed to be in the works, such as Anthem 2.0 or Anthem NEXT, more than likely, are non-existent. The guy in charge of Anthem or maybe even Anthem 2.0 or Anthem NEXT, Christian Dailey, has already taken the place of Mark Darrah and will be working on Dragon Age.

In the meantime, the GM position is still free, and BioWare is looking for the perfect seat to lead the company in the future.
