It seems that the RTX 3090, also known as the Big Ferocious GPU, won’t be the stopping point for Nvidia. Recently, a new rumor has started whirling around that Nvidia might be working on a Ti series. More precisely, the RTX 3080, a perfect candidate for a Ti entitlement upgrade, may fall between the raw 3080 and 3090 in power levels.
A known Nvidia leaker that has pointed a couple of reliable stories about the green team and their projects, known as kopite7kimi, discovered that a new RTX 3080 Ti might be in the works. This GPU is estimated to have 9984 CUDA cores, which is stunningly more than the current RTX 3080. This is 512 CUDA cores less than the big ferocious GPU, the RTX 3090.

According to the comparison and specs between the 3090 and the rumored 3080 Ti, the new GPU won’t fall off behind the RTX 3090 nor entice a greater performance. In the end, if such inspiration reflects with truthful matter and the RTX 3080 Ti becomes a reality, the price will most likely be the only bargaining chip for the ordinary consumer.
