Former Blizzard President and Co-founder Michael Morhaime Created a new Video Game Company – Dreamhaven

Co-founder and former president of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime, has revealed his next project. Earlier today, Morhaime unveiled Dreamhaven, a new game company from a collection of Blizzard veterans and two development studios, Moonshot Games and Secret Door. He’s joined by many former Blizzard veterans, including his wife, Amy, who is the head of operations at Dreamhaven.

Morhaime spent 27 years at Blizzard, but in 2018, he and his wife left it. It looks like they weren’t finished making games and doing what they love! Dreamhaven is based in Irvine, California, and it already has 27 employees. The logo’s artwork looks very fantasy-like, but they haven’t revealed what type of games they’ll be working on.

Mike Morhaime stated:

We’re almost trying to create a haven for creators who want an environment that is development friendly, values product, and player experience over short-term financial pressures. We believe in the power of gaming to bring people together and as an escape of the unpleasant things that reality can bring. In that sense, it’s a haven as well.
