Karmine Corp, LYON, and Bilibili Gaming claimed the final three places in the Worlds 2026 knockout stage on Oct. 31. Karmine Corp beat Movistar KOI 2-0, LYON came back to defeat LØS 2-1, and BLG swept Hanwha Life Esports. The eight-team quarterfinal field is set, with Invictus Gaming and Top Esports opening the stage on Nov. 3.
Karmine Corp had already fought through the Play-In, beating MVK Esports 3-0 to reach the Swiss Stage.
Karmine Corp shuts out Movistar KOI
Movistar KOI struggled to turn an early 2-0 Swiss Stage start into another win. Karmine Corp closed out the series in straight games, with the opener tightening after KC secured Infernal Soul. KOI nearly stabilized, but Supa’s forward Flash backfired and helped KC finish the game.
Game 2 gave KC more control. When KOI tried to trade a dragon for Void Grubs, Yike used Pantheon’s ultimate to deny the objective trade and extend Karmine Corp’s lead.
LYON comes back against LØS
LØS was one series win from becoming the first CBLOL team to reach the Worlds knockout stage, but LYON recovered after losing Game 1. In Game 2, Berserker’s Yunara helped turn around a deficit of roughly 8,000 gold. LYON then won through a backdoor by its bot lane, before building an early lead in Game 3 and holding on to close the series.

BLG also had to fight back in its opening game against HLE. Down 4,000 gold, Knight landed a four-player Shockwave that lined up with Ezreal’s ultimate, producing a game-winning quadra kill. BLG carried that momentum into Game 2, where early kills helped it snowball and an ace at the Mountain Soul fight sealed the 2-0 result.

Gen.G and Dplus KIA, the two teams with 3-0 Swiss records, are on opposite sides of the bracket and can meet only in the Grand Final. Each faces a 3-2 team in the quarterfinals, while Invictus Gaming and Top Esports are the two 3-1 teams meeting each other.
TheShy and 369 return to Worlds
A Reddit post about the pairing says neither player expected to start at Worlds in October. TheShy skipped the Winter and Spring splits and had not planned to compete in 2026. He returned on July 25 as Invictus Gaming’s rescue substitute after Rookie needed his help, ending a nine-month break from competition.
369 took a different route back. After a rough start to the year, he took a break and streamed VALORANT. A visa issue at Top Esports brought him back into the lineup, and he was still in Platinum Elo as Worlds approached.
Both TheShy and 369 skipped most of the competitive year and didn't plan to even be at this Worlds. Yet, one of them will move to Semis tomorrow

Both teams finished the Swiss Stage with 3-1 records. Their Nov. 3 series puts a semifinal place within reach for one of the two players whose return to competition had not been planned.
