Xbox’s October 29 Free Play Days event will offer five games, with Dead by Daylight free to all Xbox players without Game Pass. The other four require Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential and are scheduled to run from October 29 through November 1. Dead by Daylight is scheduled through November 2, according to Xbox’s October 29 Free Play Days announcement.
The membership lineup spans several very different outings. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is a soulslike action RPG set in late-Ming Shu, where warring factions and a mysterious illness threaten the land. Darkwood sends players scavenging through the Soviet Bloc’s eerie forests by day and fortifying a hideout for nightfall. In Spirittea, players run a bathhouse and help troublesome spirits, while EVERSPACE 2 pairs single-player space combat with exploration and loot. Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2 are also playable on PC.
Dead by Daylight‘s Haunted by Daylight event brings rifts to The Fog, letting players warp across maps and find items and abilities tied to lingering Void Realm power. Its free-play window is open to Xbox players without a Game Pass membership.
Several games also come with discounts. Both editions of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers and its Deluxe Upgrade DLC are 30% off during the event. Spirittea is 50% off, while EVERSPACE 2 is 80% off and its Titans and Wrath of the Ancients expansions are discounted by up to 50%. The Dead by Daylight base game is up to 60% off, with special discounts on select DLC through November 4. Discounts and availability can vary by game and region.
On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, players can find the event collection in the Store’s Subscriptions tab. Buying a game lets players continue after Free Play Days and keep the Gamerscore and achievements earned during the event.
