Escape From Tarkov “Consequences of Our Decisions” Seasonal Mode Quest Guide

Consequences of Our Decisions is Mechanic’s alternative Seasonal-mode route for the laptop requested in Final Stretch. It is not an ordinary PvP/PvE quest. Bring the laptop out of Streets of Tarkov, decrypt and read its data in the hideout, then give the laptop to Mechanic only if that is the branch you choose.
Requirements
- Play in Seasonal mode, not ordinary PvP/PvE. This is part of the KORD BREACH Seasonal questline.
- Accept Final Stretch to reach this alternative, and keep the laptop retrieval active.
- Have Intelligence Center level 1 for the Data from Fence’s laptop craft, which this task unlocks.
Objectives
- Decrypt the data from the secret facility laptop
- Read the data recovered from Fence’s laptop
- Hand over the laptop
Decide Between Mechanic and Fence
Do not hand the laptop to Fence if you intend to complete this branch. Fence’s Final Stretch and Mechanic’s Consequences of Our Decisions are alternative hand-ins for the same laptop. Fence takes the laptop directly; Mechanic requires decryption and reading before his hand-in. Pick the recipient yourself before confirming the transfer.
Recover the Laptop on Streets
Go into the diner on Nikitskaya Street and use it to reach the alley behind the building. Find the ventilation shaft there and collect the Laptop from an unknown facility. It goes into your quest-item inventory. Extract successfully with it; a failed extraction loses the laptop and means another retrieval trip.

Decrypt, Read, Then Hand Over
Back in the hideout, use Intelligence Center level 1 to craft Data from Fence’s laptop. When the craft is complete, open the recovered data from your off-raid quest inventory and read it. Crafting alone does not cover the separate reading objective.
After reading, hand the laptop to Mechanic if you have chosen his route. This completes the Mechanic alternative rather than Final Stretch. Desperate Assault can follow either completed laptop branch; do not treat this choice as requiring both hand-ins.
