Xbox Free Play Days brings six games to Xbox players starting October 22, with three available without a Game Pass subscription. Xbox Wire’s October 22 announcement puts Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition, Let’s Build a Zoo, and Tropico 6 in the October 22 through October 25 window for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential members.
All Xbox players can try Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin in three-hour timed trials, with no Game Pass membership required. Riders Republic is also open to all Xbox players from October 22 through October 26. Its fifth-anniversary celebration includes Ubisoft-themed rewards, a special concert featuring DJ Henri PFR, and more.
The Game Pass lineup spans a post-apocalyptic city in Dying Light 2, a zoo-management sim where players can splice animal DNA into more than 300,000 combinations in Let’s Build a Zoo, and the island-building world of Tropico 6. Monster Hunter Stories brings turn-based RPG battles and bonds between Riders and monsters, while its sequel follows a young Rider who forms a bond with a Rathalos.
There are discounts to go with the trials. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is 80% off for a limited time. Let’s Build a Zoo and its Dinosaur Island and Aquarium Odyssey DLC are available for up to 65% off. Tropico 6’s base game is 75% off, with DLC discounts of up to 60% through November 2, ahead of Tropico 7’s January 28 launch. Prices and availability can vary by title and region.
On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, open the Xbox Store’s Subscriptions tab and find the Free Play Days collection. Game Pass members can install the subscription titles after signing in to their accounts. Buying a game lets players continue after the event while keeping the Gamerscore and achievements they earned during the trial.
