Mechanic
Escape From Tarkov “To the Light – Trust but Verify” Quest Guide
Stash Mechanic's supplied hard drive in The Lab, then extract through the Ventilation Shaft in the same raid.
This is a one-raid Labs task with a specific exit requirement. Stash Mechanic’s hard drive in the server room near the weapon testing area, then leave through the Ventilation Shaft.
Requirements and objectives
- After learning about the Terminal situation in the Tour story chapter, ask Mechanic about the possibility of working with Lightkeeper.
- Reach Loyalty Level 3 with Therapist, Skier, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Ragman and Jaeger.
The objectives are to stash one Hard drive with false data in The Lab and extract through the Ventilation Shaft. Complete both steps in the same raid.
Needed equipment
- One Hard drive with false data. The quest provides it in your off-raid quest inventory. It does not need to be found in raid, and it is not lost upon death.
- No backpack at extraction. The Ventilation Shaft can only be used without a backpack equipped.
How to complete the quest
- Enter The Lab with the supplied hard drive in your quest inventory.
- Go to the first level and find the server room in the main working area, O11, near the weapon testing area. Stash the hard drive at the servers.
- Unequip your backpack and extract from The Lab through the Ventilation Shaft in the same raid.
Use the shaft after completing the stash step. The quest lists extraction through this exit as an objective, and the exit will not work while you have a backpack equipped.
