Charlie Cox Hopes Matt Murdock Can Return in More Marvel Movies After Daredevil: Born Again
Season 3 is scheduled for March 2027, and Cox said the cast had a good sense the series would be canceled afterward.

Charlie Cox is leaving the door open for Matt Murdock to return in another Marvel movie after Daredevil: Born Again ends. Asked by GamesRadar+ at New York Comic Con whether Daredevil could appear in an upcoming MCU film, Cox said, “Maybe this will open the door for that. We’ll see.”
Cox has already appeared as Matt Murdock on the big screen. Before Daredevil: Born Again premiered in 2025, he played Peter Parker’s lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Daredevil: Born Again is due to end after three seasons. At NYCC, Cox joked that the news brought back memories of the #SaveDaredevil campaign. The cast had more time to prepare this time. In a New York Comic Con interview with GamesRadar+, he described having “a little bit more planning and emotional support” and said, “We had a good sense [it was going to be canceled].”
Filming on Season 3 has wrapped, and the season is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027. The returning cast includes Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand, reuniting three other Defenders with Cox’s Matt Murdock.
