World of Tanks Update 2.4.1 Will Start Oct. 14 With Babylon and Map Changes
The update also brings Halloween rewards for returning and new players and reduces the odds of repeated maps.

Wargaming has scheduled World of Tanks Update 2.4.1 for October 14 at 09:30 CEST. The Season of Action update brings the Babylon: Dark Tower PvE event, revised map-repeat rules and a calendar of returning and new battle modes.
Servers will be down on October 14 from 02:30 until 09:30 CEST/UTC+2. Players with a WoT Premium Account will receive an extra 24 hours of Premium time to make up for the maintenance.
Babylon brings a new Mirium chapter
Babylon: Dark Tower continues the Mirium story in a dark sci-fi setting, with PvE battles and a narrative players can influence for the first time. The event adds consumables, enemies, bosses, a new player vehicle and the Eclipse, a Tier IX Premium Soviet double-barreled heavy, as its top progression reward.
Halloween rewards are split between returning commanders who have been away for at least 60 days and new players. Returning players can claim four themed Commanders with enough Crew XP for two perks, a 30-day rental of Obsidian, a Tier VIII Premium Soviet medium tank, the “Dark Knight” 2D style and 100 Decryption Keys.
New players can get the Großtraktor – Krupp, a Tier III Premium German medium tank, along with up to 210 login missions for ×5 XP, 35 per week. Their rewards also include 45 days of WoT Premium Account time and 3,000,000 credits.
Map variety gets a matchmaking overhaul
Nebelburg returns from Grand Battles, reworked for Random Battles, while Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, Siegfried Line, Fisherman’s Bay and Overlord receive balance adjustments. The changes to Nebelburg and the five other maps have already been covered in detail.
The matchmaker will also reduce repeat maps within a session. For Tier VIII-XI vehicles, up to 99% of sessions lasting no more than 15 battles will have no repeated maps. During battles 21 through 25 of a session, the chance of seeing a duplicate map will be 31%, down from 99% before the update. Random events will be enabled for all players to keep the map queue unified.
New and returning modes fill the November calendar
Black Signal begins in mid-November, bringing 7v7 battles in Tier X vehicles. Teams will fight for control of multiple Antennas and score points to win on Murovanka, Safe Haven and Pilsen. Players can respawn, switch vehicles and restore HP by capturing an Antenna. Progression rewards accompany a story involving the Architect.
Frontline is scheduled to return from November 2-9 with 30v30 battles for Tier VIII vehicles on large maps, plus respawns and Combat Reserves. Steel Hunter follows from November 16-23. Players can enter its shrinking-map battle royale solo or in a two-player Platoon, choosing from eight special vehicles that can be upgraded during a match.
Clans-only Maneuvers will run from November 9-23 and introduce Tier XI vehicles to the 7v7 mode for the first time. The event features Encounter Battles, Personal and Clan Leaderboards, and rewards that include six rare Tier X tanks.
Other changes include revised conditions for some Operation Fossa Personal Missions and a shorter Spotlight feature, giving players more time to assess the pre-battle situation.
