Tekken 8 Trailer Reveals Yujiro for Baki the Grappler Crossover

Yujiro will join the roster this winter, while Roger Jr. will enter early access Nov. 12 before wider availability on Nov. 17.

Tekken 8’s latest EVO France trailer offers the first look at its previously announced Baki the Grappler crossover, with Yujiro scheduled to join the roster this winter.

Roger Jr. has a nearer arrival date. He will enter early access on Nov. 12, then become available to everyone else on Nov. 17. His gameplay reveal shows the boxing kangaroo using acrobatics and stomp attacks, while the official Steam announcement notes that he and his mother are dressed to match. Kunimitsu and Bob have already featured in Season 3, and the earlier fall rollout schedule had placed Roger Jr. later in the year. The new dates pin down that arrival to November.

Tekken 8 is a 3D fighting game and the eighth main installment in the Tekken series, notable for being the first entry to debut on home consoles rather than in arcades. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game introduces the "Heat" system, which rewards aggressive play by granting enhanced moves and chip damage while in an activated state, and replaces the prior "Screw" mechanic with "Tornado" hits. The game features crossplay across PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Additional modes include Arcade Quest, an online lobby with customizable avatars and tournament play, and a cinematic story mode. It is the final Tekken game involving longtime series director Katsuhiro Harada before his departure from Bandai Namco.
