Rockbeasts Adds Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel Ahead of Its January 2027 PS5 Launch

Rockbeasts will launch on PS5 in January 2027, with Critical Role joining the project as a creative and publishing partner. Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel are joining the cast, according to Lichthund’s Oct. 8 PlayStation Blog announcement.

Rockbeasts is a management RPG about taking a band from a garage to bigger stages. Players take the manager’s seat, balancing resources, band members’ personalities, and gigs while trying to keep the group together.

The game is already available to wishlist ahead of its January 2027 release.
