The First Descendant Penalized 490 Users in Its Oct. 1-7 Crackdown
Uncooperative play accounted for 441 matchmaking penalties, while 15 users received permanent bans.

The First Descendant penalized 490 users during its Oct. 1 through Oct. 7, 2026, PDT enforcement period, according to the game’s Steam notice.
Most of the actions were matchmaking penalties. Uncooperative play led to 441 penalties, while unusual gameplay activity accounted for another 34. The remaining 15 users received permanent bans: 10 for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs, and five for unfair gains through exploitation of the Open Store payment process.
The preceding review counted 917 users from Sept. 21 through Oct. 1. That period covered more calendar days and overlaps the new one on Oct. 1, so the totals are not a direct week-to-week comparison.
Enforcement actions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior can report it through the in-game feature. Anyone seeking to dispute a penalty involving Open Store payment-process exploitation can contact Customer Service through the official website’s 1:1 Support option. Chargeback disputes should go to the platform store used for the payment.
