Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 Will Start Oct. 14 With a Community-Voted Vampire-Werewolf Theme

The season also brings Leader's Kill Confirmed, the Grav assault rifle, returning crossover playlists, and an opt-in early download feature.

Call of Duty: Mobile’s first community-voted season will pit Vampires against Werewolves when Season 9 launches October 14 at 5 p.m. PT, according to Activision’s Season 9 announcement. Players chose the season’s theme and voted on Operator Skin and Weapon Blueprint designs for its Battle Pass.

Season 9 follows Season 8’s Honkai Impact 3rd crossover, which featured a three-player roguelike mode and a limited-time location in Isolated.

Leader’s Kill Confirmed puts one player in the spotlight

In Leader’s Kill Confirmed, one player on each team becomes a mech-equipped Leader visible to both sides. Taking out an opposing Leader earns a dog tag worth significantly more points than a standard tag, and the Leader role then passes to another teammate.

Teams will have to balance protecting their own Leader, hunting the enemy’s, and collecting tags. Regular Operators also gain special abilities as the match progresses, adding more tools to the fight against the Leaders.

Season 9 will bring back the Shoryu and Hadoken modes based on Street Fighter 6, along with Honkai: Gleaming Front from Honkai Impact 3rd. Gleaming Front will receive small adjustments. Attack of the Undead will also return on Haunted Hacienda and Haunted Standoff, with separate 24/7 playlists for both maps running at different points during the season.

Fang Wars divides rewards between Vampires and Werewolves

The Fang Wars event will ask players to choose a faction, complete missions, and compete for progress and rewards. Vampires can earn the SO-14 Moonlit Marksman Blueprint, while Werewolves can pursue the Type 25 Lone Wolf Blueprint. Both sides can also earn rewards such as the Purifier Deadly Nightshade Operator Skill Skin, Type 19 Petal Pattern Blueprint, and Swagger Strongbox.

Both factions will receive their own victory Calling Card regardless of the final result. The winning side will also earn a gold version of its card.

Another seasonal event, Call of the Dead, will have players collect Howlbones to spend in an Event Store. Rewards include the Contact Grenade Calaverita, Cluster Grenade Pan de Muerto, a Día de Muertos Calling Card, an Emote, a Weapon Charm, and assorted Avatars, Sprays, Stickers, and a Frame. Collecting 100 Howlbones will unlock the K-9 Unit Fantasma Operator Skill Skin.

The Battle Pass brings the Grav and player-voted designs

The free Battle Pass tiers will add the Grav Assault Rifle, described as a weapon with high bullet velocity for distant targets, along with weapon charms, Calling Cards, stickers, and camos. Premium rewards include Minotaur Pack Commander, the winning werewolf Operator Skin design, and Sparrowhawk Moonlight Vengeance, the winning vampire design.

The player-voted Blueprints include the CX9 Wolven Moonrise SMG and 3-Line Rifle Cantus Rubra sniper rifle. Other premium rewards include Artery The Hunter, Calisto The Witch, the MG82 Bloodsucker’s Ban LMG Blueprint, and the Grav Solstice Herald. Ground Forces subscribers will receive monthly rewards, a 10% boost to Player and Weapon XP, discount coupons, and limited discounts on 10x crate pulls.

Daily and weekly tasks in the Season 9 Challenge Pass will award tokens for seasonal rewards, including the QXR Rose Requiem Blueprint and Showoff Emote. An opt-in Download Manager feature will also let players download seasonal content ahead of time, reducing the wait to start playing after launch.

Season 9 adds new draws and a Halloween sale

New Store draws include Hunger Eternal, with the Legendary Grav Vitae Devourer Blueprint and Samael The Soul Eater Operator Skin; Weresoldier Unleashed, featuring the AK-117 Lycan Eclipse Blueprint and Bulldozer Super Weresoldier Operator Skin; and Sapphire Winter, with the Einhorn Revolving Cold-Blooded Blueprint and Tempest Sapphire Operator Skin.

The Dark Ritual Series Armory will feature Horangi Invoker, König Sinister, Ghost Possessed, and Corso Ritual Boss, with animated textures on three of the Operator Skins. Street Fighter’s Weapon and Character Series Armories will return for a limited time. Two Mythic draws will also return, Whorl of Midnight with the RAM-7 Nebula’s Brush and Ultraviolet with the AK-47 Radiance.

The Halloween Sale will run October 28 through November 3, with discounts on seasonal Draws, Lucky Boxes, and Crates. Featured items include the Grim Duo Draw, Hunger Eternal Draw, Night Creature Lucky Box, Bloody Vow Crate, and a Halloween Series Armory Bundle. The Battle Pass Vault will also bring back rewards from Shadows Return, To the Skies, and Orbital Raiders.

Web Store offers will include Dark Ritual Series Points, a bonus Epic M4LMG Blueprint tied to one offer, and a Día de Muertos COD Points bundle, alongside daily gifts.
