Battlefield 6’s August Match Infection Rate Fell to 2.89%, Then Rebounded to 3.24%

EA Javelin blocked 327,756 cheat or tampering attempts, while 105 of 110 tracked cheat-related entities showed signs of disruption.

Battlefield 6’s Match Infection Rate fell from 4.64% at the start of August to a monthly low of 2.89% on August 25, then rose to 3.24% by August 31. EA shared the figures in its August anticheat update, which also covered Season 4’s Naval Combat launch, new vehicles, and new ways to play.

Compared with July’s 4.76% closing MIR and 277,649 blocked attempts, August ended with a lower infection rate but a higher volume of stopped attempts.

MIR measures the share of matches affected by at least one suspected cheater. It includes reported players who may not have triggered enough evidence for enforcement, so the rate should not be read as a ban percentage. EA also discussed how to interpret changes in the metric in its January MIR explanation.

EA Javelin Anti-Cheat prevented 327,756 attempts to cheat or tamper with the game before they affected matches, 50,107 more than the July total. EA was also tracking 110 cheat-related programs, hardware solutions, vendors, resellers, and associated communities, an increase of six. Of those, 105 showed feature failures, detection notices, downtime, or had taken their cheats offline. EA put that share at 95.45%, up five entities from the previous report.

The update also pointed to EA’s work beyond in-game detection. In September, EA said Collective Minds removed EA-related content and scripts from Cronus Zen and Strike Pack public sites and an associated Discord server after the publisher raised concerns.
