Battlefield 6 Season 5 Will Add 3 Vegas Maps and Reshape REDSEC Playlists
Rapid Royale Solos will replace the current Battle Royale solo-and-duo rotation at launch, while Gauntlet leaves the active playlist lineup.

Battlefield 6’s fifth season will take the fight to Las Vegas with three new maps, two of them available at launch. EA’s Steam community update also previews a wide set of changes to combat, REDSEC matchmaking, and Portal.
Season 5 will bring new weapons and a Server Browser later in the season. The first two maps will be available as Verified Portal Experiences at launch, with support for Custom Experiences planned for later. The update also adds the Crashed Carrier as a Portal point of interest, while expanding water support to Sandbox and REDSEC maps. Water support is planned for more Battlefield 6 multiplayer maps in later updates.
Rapid Royale Solos will take a REDSEC slot
Rapid Royale is planned for both Solos and Trios during Season 5, with Solos arriving at the start of the season. The mode offers shorter Battle Royale matches and more frequent fights. To give its matchmaking queues a larger player pool, EA will end the current rotation between Battle Royale Solos and Duos when the season begins.
EA plans to bring Battle Royale Duos back later in Season 5. Its current direction is to rotate Duos with Rapid Royale Solos, though that plan is still under review. Gauntlet will also leave the active playlist lineup at the start of the season because its smaller player population has made it harder to fill matches, especially in less populated regions. EA has left open the possibility of bringing it back.
REDSEC’s Battle Royale mode will also get updated Class Training Paths, more gadgets in Police Vans, Ambulances, and Class Crates, and a Reconnect feature that lets disconnected players return to an active match. Armor plating will be 20% faster for every class. Engineer will start with a Repair Tool and M136 AT, Support with a Supply Pouch and Deployable Cover, and Recon with T-UGS and a Mobile Jammer. The Phantom Program will remain active beyond Season 4.
Season 5 adjusts vehicles, weapons, and Portal
Vehicle changes will affect health regeneration, directional damage, and weak spots, putting more weight on positioning and where shots land. The SLM-93A and Igla will lose Below Radar, while Mobile and Stationary AA cannons will be improved. Scout Helicopter rockets and resupply timing, vehicle loadouts, aim-guided missiles, the M15 AV Mine, and the PTKM-1R are also getting adjustments. Air vehicle resupplies will become specific to each vehicle, and High-Velocity Shells will get a visibility improvement.
In REDSEC, PDWs, Carbines, Assault Rifles, and LMGs will need an additional bullet to eliminate armored targets at certain ranges. The M39 EMR and SVDM are among the DMRs receiving tuning, and ammunition limits for DMRs and Sniper Rifles will change. EA says the full weapon-by-weapon breakdown will arrive with the Season 5 update notes.
Class Training Paths will add or adjust benefits tied to survivability, armor, revives, spotting, and anti-vehicle play. Portal builders will get both new maps at launch, plus water support for Sandbox and REDSEC locations including Complex 3, Defense Nexus, Redline Storage, Area 22B, Marina District, Downtown, Golf Course, and USS Grant. The Crashed Carrier, an aircraft carrier brought down off Fort Lyndon, will offer a new combat area with higher-value loot than standard points of interest.
