Borderlands 4 players defeated 48,783,633 enemies during the Tough Love Community Challenge, clearing the goal and unlocking the Mint Chipset Vault Hunter Skin for Loveless the Hacker. Gearbox confirmed the reward in its Steam announcement, noting that the total included kills across Kairos and the Providence zone.
The final count far exceeded the original 10 million-kill target from the Tough Love Community Challenge. Players can now redeem the reward code even if they did not participate in the event.
How to redeem the Mint Chipset code
Enter 3SX3J-3XZ55-CR33C-JBBJT-XH395 through the Gearbox SHiFT site or the in-game SHiFT menu in Borderlands 4. The code works once per SHiFT account and must be redeemed by December 31, 2030.
Redemption requires a copy of Borderlands 4, a SHiFT account, and an internet connection. The reward is specifically for Loveless, so redeeming the code alone does not provide access to the Vault Hunter.
Loveless DLC is required to equip the skin
Players must own the Loveless the Hacker DLC to equip Mint Chipset. Loveless and Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort are paid DLC, with Story Pack 2 split between its new story content and the playable Vault Hunter.
Anyone who does not own the game can get Loveless through the Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition, which includes both DLC Vault Hunters, Story Packs 1 and 2, the Ornate Order Pack, and the Bounty Pack Bundle. Standard and Deluxe Edition owners can purchase the Vault Hunter Pack or buy Loveless the Hacker separately.
