Suri: The Seventh Note Will Launch on PS5 Oct. 30 With Rhythm at Its Core

The rhythm adventure will feature Indian-inspired environments, a 480-millisecond beat interval, and 2 editions, with 3-day early access in Digital Deluxe.

Suri: The Seventh Note will launch on PlayStation 5 on October 30, 2026, giving the rhythm adventure its long-awaited release after four years of development. PlayStation confirmed the date in its announcement.

Ajira’s journey takes place across an island shaped by Rajput forts, Theyyam culture, Himalayan monasteries, and other regional influences from India. The game combines movement abilities, hidden paths, music, and action as players travel through its hand-illustrated environments.

Music is tied directly to the way Suri plays. The developers say 80% of the game’s music was recorded with original analogue instruments instead of being synthesized electronically, with different parts of the island drawing on different Indian musical traditions. The southern region uses the sound of the veena, while the desert areas look toward Rajasthan.

A release-date trailer shows the game’s rhythm-focused action and visual style.

How Suri uses 480 milliseconds between beats

The team settled on roughly 480 milliseconds between the game’s main beats. That interval leaves enough time for controller input while preserving the momentum of each sequence, with room for players to recognize when they have lost the rhythm.

Suri does not follow one fixed genre. Its music, movement, and action systems are built around the timing needed for each encounter, creating a hybrid structure rather than a single traditional format.

2 editions will be available at launch

The Standard Edition includes the base game and a 20% pre-order discount for PlayStation Plus members. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the exclusive Chandini Skin, DLC, the same 20% discount for PlayStation Plus members, and 3-day early access to the full game.

The Chandini Skin and DLC will not be sold separately. Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition after launch will still receive both items.

Suri: The Seventh Note is also part of the PlayStation India Hero Project. Its development included a Rhythm Haptics Engine designed to help the game’s musical timing feel responsive on PS5, and pre-orders are now live.
