The First Descendant Will Open Transcendent Weapon Trading on September 17

The September 17 update will also add offline Lounge Storage Trade, Cradle of Evolution, Ultimate Hailey, and balance changes for several Descendants and weapons.

Offline trading will arrive in The First Descendant with the September 17 update, allowing players to buy items from a Descendant’s Lounge even when the seller is offline. Nexon outlined the system and the rest of the upcoming content in its September 16 developer live summary.

The update will follow the scheduled maintenance window covered in the maintenance notice, which runs from 10:00 p.m. PDT on September 16 to 8:00 a.m. PDT on September 17. Nexon also warned that some revealed content may change before the update goes live.

Lounge Storage Trade removes the online requirement

Lounge Storage Trade will work alongside the existing One-on-One Trading system. Sellers can register items in their Lounge Storage, where the listings will sync automatically with the Trade Market. Buyers can find an item, receive the seller’s Lounge information, visit that Lounge in-game, and complete the purchase through the storage system.

The seller does not need to remain online after registering an item, while the buyer can complete the purchase at a convenient time. The maximum trade limit for both systems will rise to 25,000 Caliber. Lounge Storage Trade will not charge the buyer a trade fee, but sellers will pay a Caliber fee. The preview specifies a seller fee of 10% of the trade price for Trigger Modules.

One-on-One Trading will remain available with lower buyer fees. Trigger Modules will cost 200,000 Gold, Ancestors Modules will cost 500,000 Gold, and Transcendent Weapons will cost 1,000,000 Gold through that system.

Transcendent Weapons will become tradable

All 11 Transcendent Weapons introduced with the Season 4 Episode 1 update will become available for trade after the September 17 update. Future Transcendent Weapons will also become tradable when they launch, following the same approach used for Trigger Modules and Ancestors Modules.

Weapons earned through gameplay will have a 24-hour protection period before they can be registered for sale. A Transcendent Weapon obtained through a trade cannot increase a Descendant’s Transcendent Weapon Base Quality. Weapons received through trading will also become bound to the buyer and cannot be resold unless the player uses a Trade Permit purchased from the paid Shop.

Minimum prices will depend on the weapon’s Quality range. Weapons with Quality from 1 to 100 will require at least 100 Caliber, those from 101 to 200 will require 200 Caliber, those from 201 to 300 will require 400 Caliber, and those from 301 to 400 will require 600 Caliber.

Cradle of Evolution adds a new farming route

Cradle of Evolution will arrive as Maneuvering Operation content in a ritual and experimental facility built by the Order of Truth. Its mission process will change between runs, and Nexon described its difficulty as higher than the Axion Infiltration Operation.

The activity will provide materials for Ultimate Hailey and can drop Transcendent Weapons with Quality from 271 to 400. The weekly Descendant Mission Board will also let players combine Karel’s Mothership and Cradle of Evolution progress. Karel’s Mothership awards 3 points, Cradle of Evolution awards 1 point, and reaching 5 points will grant 500 Merit Tokens, up from the previous 300.

Ultimate Hailey will arrive with the Hailey Descendant Story, which awards Hailey’s Records, a chest accessory, one Crystallization Catalyst, and crafting materials after completion. Her overall skill damage will increase, while the Ultimate equipment Pitch Black Firing Line will focus on sniping stability instead of Arche enhancement.

  • Dangerous Distance will support close-range Chill combat, increasing Chill skill power and critical hit rate within 30 meters while changing several skills and adding a minigun attack.
  • Extreme Strike will support long-range sniping, extending Cryo Round’s range to 60 meters and adding a piercing laser weapon skill.

The new Trigger Module Freezing Breakthrough will build Supercooling stacks while its toggle remains active. Using a skill weapon or exclusive weapon skill with stacks will increase Chill skill power and the critical hit multiplier.

Luna, Lepic, and five Transcendent Weapons receive changes

Luna’s update will raise damage, reduce the penalty for missed notes, extend base buff duration, and improve Inspiration Gauge gain. Noise Surge will clear nearby monsters through movement, while several of Luna’s modules and skills will receive range, duration, damage, or ammunition improvements.

Lepic will receive higher grenade damage, added skill power for Overclock, a stack-based Traction Grenade, and increased Overkill duration and damage. Increased Efficiency, Nerve Infiltration, and Explosive Stacks will also receive adjustments.

ARMIS, Storm Cage, Raging Light, Malicious Dominator, and Emperor’s Guard Lance will receive Transcendent Ability improvements. Single-target damage will increase by about two times, while area-of-effect abilities will gain improvements to frequency, probability, or range. Existing weapons will receive the improvements according to the same increase rates.

Storm Cage will hit more enemies and trigger Lightning Storm on hits as well as kills. Malicious Dominator will have less recoil, faster and farther blade bounces, and a wider explosion. Raging Light will no longer reset its aim after firing, while Emperor’s Guard Lance will gain more duration and range. ARMIS will fire Small Warhead Rockets more often, and its countdown will decrease even without hitting enemies.

Onslaught penalties and quality-of-life changes

A new Desertion Penalty will first apply to public matchmaking in Onslaught. Leaving a match will add to a daily desertion count and delay the next public matchmaking attempt. Completing a public match while under the penalty will remove the delay, but leaving again will produce a longer delay and restrict party participation during the penalty period.

Breach Tracking will gain a chance to spawn a Dimensional Stone that can award up to 5,000 Superconductive Cooling Units, 10 Crystallization Catalysts, and 100 million Gold. The activity will also provide research time acceleration items and additional Transcendent Weapon sources.

Other quality-of-life changes include 50 additional Ancestor Module storage slots, a filter for unowned modules, clearer Research menu indicators for HQ Orders items, and a new Archive Shard shop for basic modules. Players will also be able to check their playtime after an interrupted Trials run.

September events begin with the update

The September 17 update will start the Eastern Mystic Gley attendance event, Karel’s Mothership Phase Conquest Celebration Event, Marksman’s Precision Strike Mission, and the Luna and Lepic rebalance event. Descendant’s Weekend and Accelerate Research Week will run through October 15, while the next Assemble Event and Ancestor Module Event will begin on October 1.
