Helldivers 2’s Ironclad Democracy Warbond Will Bring Tank-Focused Firepower on September 22

The Premium Warbond adds an electric rifle, grenade launcher, missile pistol, 2 armor sets, new boosters, and tank-exclusive patterns.

Helldivers 2 will add its Ironclad Democracy Premium Warbond on September 22, 2026. The release gives squads an electric assault rifle, a pump-action grenade launcher, a missile pistol, anti-tank and fire-based throwables, plus armor built to keep Helldivers on their feet.

The Warbond’s equipment leans into direct pressure and heavy battlefield tools. Its unlocks require the base game, Super Credits, and game progression, according to the Steam announcement.

Ironclad Democracy’s weapons bring explosive options

Three weapons form the core of the new loadout, covering rapid fire, area damage, and armor penetration.

  • AR-11 Arbitrator is a primary assault rifle that fires caseless rounds through an electrical firing mechanism and includes an underslung shotgun.
  • GL-15 Evictor is a primary pump-action grenade launcher with a manual single-round reload.
  • P-34 Breacher is a secondary missile pistol that fires sticky projectiles powered by phosphorous fuel, giving each shot an explosive impact.

The Warbond also adds 2 throwables with very different jobs. The G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker is a smart grenade delivery drone with a high-yield payload. It follows the user, homes in on nearby enemies, and detonates on impact, with armored vehicles as its intended target.

The G-8 Immolation trades a large explosion for a wide spread of fire. It is made for setting targets ablaze, which should make the new fire-safety booster a welcome addition to careless squads.

Two armor sets share a new defensive passive

BFM-16 Tanker is the lighter armor set, with integrated acoustic dampeners inspired by the armored cavalry of the First Galactic War. BFM-220 Ironclad is the heavy option, built from surplus hull plating with servo-bracing and a tall blast-shield collar.

Both sets use Blunt-Force Mitigation. The passive makes Helldivers harder to knock down, cuts damage from impacts and collisions by 30%, and provides a higher armor rating.

Boosters and cosmetics round out the Warbond

Surplus EAT Allocation grants 2 free uses of the Expendable Anti-Tank Stratagem per mission. With the right distribution, that can provide every squad member with a single-use rocket launcher. Integrated Extinguishers reduces the time needed to put out flames, including those caused by an unfortunate burst of friendly fire.

The cosmetic rewards include the Standard of Rapid Evacuation and Shroud of The Juggernaut capes and player cards, along with the Helmet Durability Check emote and Treadhead title. Ironclad Democracy also introduces tank-exclusive patterns for Premium Warbonds, including Verdant camouflage, Glacial polymer, and Executive onyx.
