Pokémon GO’s PokéXciting Pikachu Remains Available in Kuala Lumpur After the Event

Remote Raids brought Gigantamax Venusaur, Gigantamax Charizard, and Gigantamax Blastoise to the event, while Blue Afro Pikachu remains available in the wild for a month after it ends.

PokéXciting Pikachu remains available in the wild around Kuala Lumpur for a month after Pokémon GO’s PokéXciting! event, giving local Trainers extra time to find the costumed Pokémon after the weekend activities have ended.

During the Kuala Lumpur event, Gigantamax Venusaur, Gigantamax Charizard, and Gigantamax Blastoise appeared as the main battle targets. Remote Raids let Trainers join the lineup without being at the venue.

KLCC Park hosted the event’s gameplay area, with hours running from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time across all regions. Together, the three Gigantamax Pokémon brought a full Kanto starter lineup to Kuala Lumpur.

Trainers could also encounter PokéXciting! Pikachu for the first time. Its colors vary by region, and Kuala Lumpur’s version is Blue Afro Pikachu. A catch card dated September 14, 2026 records the blue-haired Pokémon in the city, making the costume easy to recognize once an encounter appears.

Players hunting for Blue Afro Pikachu can set a wild alert for Pikachu before heading out. The alert can help track nearby encounters during the month-long window, especially for Trainers trying to add the costume to their collection.

The same post-event arrangement will apply to upcoming events in Manila, Taipei, Singapore, and Bangkok. Each city has its own costume color rather than sharing Kuala Lumpur’s blue variant. For example, Taipei has a pink PokéXciting! Pikachu.

PokéXciting! is part of the Pokémon 30th Anniversary celebration. Would you hunt Kuala Lumpur’s blue variant, or travel for another city’s PokéXciting! Pikachu? Share your plans in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram for more Pokémon GO updates.
