It seems that Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege is getting bigger. Ubisoft seems to be praising the success of its first-person tactical shooter and is about to iterate on a bigger field. Thanks to the Operation Steel Wave, New Seasonal characters are no strange in R6Siege, and two new operators are scheduled to enter the game. Ace and Melusi are the names of the two new operators arriving in the game.
These two operators are rather weird with their abilities, but looking backward, each one of the operators has been weird at the beginning of its timeline. That is what makes this game unique, and that is the abilities that distinguish each character and add up for more diverse gameplay, both on the defensive and attacking side.
Being two new characters coming on the horizon, Ubisoft tends to balance things by adding one on each side. Attackers and Defenders. If my memory serves me well, each operator’s arrival had occurred in the same fashion, except for one time when two operators of the same side joined the game.
ACE
Ace is an attacking operator. Ace responds to fights with a gadget called SELMA. SELMA is throwable and can be thrown at walls. It intends to destroy everything in its path, including fortified walls. He can use two weapons, an AK-12 and M1014 shotgun, similar to what the others bring to the table.
MELUSI
Melusi is a defender. It can uses T-5 SMG and Super 90 Shotgun, and its gadget is the Banshee Sonic Defense. The Banshee Sonic Defense gadget can be used on walls, floors, or ceiling if applicable. Its purpose is to obstruct the player’s movement with a sound beam of a particular frequency, potentially revealing their position. Each attacking operator found behind the gadget will have a rough time, which position is most likely to get exposed.
Map Rework
Operation Steel Wave will also include a map rework. House, one of the player’s favorite maps, will get an overhaul due to balance issues. The new map alongside the two new operators can be experimented on the Rainbow Six Siege test servers starting tomorrow, May 19.
Overall, a lot of other changes are emphasized, so you better be there if you’re a true R6Siege fan.
