World of Warcraft: Midnight‘s Dungeon Event is live, giving players a guaranteed piece of Hero-track gear if they complete its weekly quest before the next regional reset. The event ends with the September 15 reset in North America and the September 16 reset in Europe.
How to claim the guaranteed Hero gear
Archmage Aethas Sunreaver offers the Emissary of War weekly quest. Complete four dungeons on Mythic difficulty, then turn in the quest to receive a Heroic Cache of Amani Treasures.
The cache contains one piece of The Venomous Abyss loot ranging from item level 305 to 315. That makes the quest a direct way to target a Hero-track reward without relying entirely on the usual dungeon loot rolls.
Which dungeons provide bonus loot
Every final boss in a Midnight dungeon drops an extra item during the event when defeated on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic 0 difficulty. Players working on alternate characters or filling missing equipment slots can use those bonus drops alongside the weekly quest reward.
Mythic+ dungeons do not receive the extra final-boss item. They still count toward the Emissary of War quest, however, so players can use Mythic+ runs to complete the required four dungeons while pursuing higher-level content.
With the event’s deadline approaching, the weekly quest is the priority for anyone who wants the guaranteed Hero-track cache. Lower difficulties offer another reason to run Midnight dungeons before the regional reset, especially when a character still needs several equipment upgrades.
